Start and End of Day routines 3 September 2020 (by admin) |
Important information about changes to the routines
Thanks again for your continued support, understanding and patience as we work to put in place an effective routine for the children entering and leaving school.
Senior staff in school have discussed this mornings plan and have made the following changes:
a) We are extending our drop off times to give parents more time in the morning. Years 3 and 5 will be invited to drop off from 8.30am
b) Can we remind parents that any siblings can be dropped off at the earlier time, so that those at a later time are not waiting around i.e A Year 6 pupil may come in to school from 8.30am if they had a sibling in Year 3
c) All Year 3 and 5 staff will be on the playground from 8.20am (unless there is good reason on the odd occasion not to be); and all Year 4 and Year 6 staff will be out to support them from 8.30am
d) TAs and non-class-based staff will be in the corridors from 8.30am supporting children during this 'trickle in' time
e) Temperatures will be taken in classrooms as the children arrive to their rooms - not at the gate - meaning that the children can quickly enter the school and parents/carers can quickly leave the grounds therefore helping with social distancing.
f) Parents will be allowed access to the graffiti playground (Years 3 and 4) and to the lower playground for Year 5, when it is their collection time - but we do ask that all parents/carers observe social distancing at all times.
Please be assured that we will review again tomorrow and that we have thought through some additional options should this not alleviate all issues in the morning.
Kind regards,
Mrs Duynstee
